Q:How do you get your photos to look so detailed. The skin, clothes and even background sometimes.
I can try to help but the truth is i’m just learning as i go along. The most important things are:
Graphics settings;
Windlight settings;
then Photoshop
I use Kirsten’s Viewer for my pics and there are some great tips and links on this page: http://strawberrysingh.com/category/tutorials/
That will hopefully explain better than i can the settings required for good shots, it’s important to take large, high resolution pics (without crashing). For the windlight settings, this is a case of trial and error. Some settings may have nice light but they do nothing for the skin and vice versa.
After all that then the Photoshop fun begins. I find that no matter what effect you are trying to get, the most important thing is to soften the angular lines on the avatar. The shoulders and jaw are usually not curved very well so i use the liquify tool to soften them.
So it’s high res, high settings, good light and then cross your fingers and hope!
Hope this helps a little, if you want to know anything specific then let me know on here or in-world and good luck :)
